AI can make exploration and production faster. Design judgment helps teams decide which problems are worth solving, which tradeoffs to make, and what not to build.
How is Design Sensei different from using an AI tool for advice?

Can AI replace design judgment?
AI can be a powerful tool in the design process. It does not replace the context, taste, accountability, and product perspective needed to make consequential decisions.

The goal is not generic mentorship; it is a focused conversation that helps you move forward with more clarity.
How are Design Sensei advisors selected?
We curate advisors based on relevant product and design experience, strong judgment, and the way they show up in conversation. We are looking for people who can be direct, thoughtful, and genuinely helpful to the teams they advise.
Can I join as a design advisor?
Yes. We are inviting experienced design leaders who are excited to help ambitious startup teams make better product decisions. Select “Design advisor” in the invite form and tell us about the teams or challenges you most enjoy advising on.
How does the private beta work?
We are building the Design Sensei network now. Request an invite, tell us a little about what you are working through or how you would like to advise, and we will follow up as the private beta takes shape.
What happens after I request an invite?
We review requests to understand who is joining the network and where we can create the most productive connections. An invitation request does not guarantee network access or a session, but it helps us build a thoughtful community.
Is it free to request an invite?
Yes. Requesting an invite is free. Advisory-session format and pricing will be shared with invited members before any session is scheduled.
What happens if a session is not a good fit?
If a session does not feel like a good fit, let us know. We will review what happened and work with you on the appropriate next step.
Are conversations confidential?
Please do not include confidential, proprietary, or sensitive information in the invitation form. If you are invited into the network, we will share the relevant session details and expectations before you participate, including a way for you to upload NDAs.
